About the role
The Technical Renewal Sales Specialist is responsible for proactively managing and executing the Guest Internet Access (GIA) renewal sales process for manufacturer support and license entitlements. This role serves as the primary point of contact for customers and internal partners to identify renewal needs, prepare and deliver accurate quotes, and ensure timely processing of renewal orders to maintain continuity of service.

By owning the renewal lifecycle and partnering cross functionally, the Technical Renewal Sales Specialist helps ensure customers remain supported, compliant with manufacturer requirements, and positioned for long term success with SONIFI solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of manufacturer support entitlements, licenses, renewal policies, timelines, and customer benefits
- Proactively identify renewal opportunities, potential risks, and roadblocks, and develop strategies to address them
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and internal teams throughout the renewal process
- Facilitate the end to end renewal sales process to deliver an accurate, efficient, and positive customer experience
- Prepare, deliver, and track renewal quotes using Salesforce, Salesforce CPQ, Solution Design Tool (SDT), and GIA Pricing Tool (GPT)
- Maintain regular communication with vendor and manufacturer partners to support renewal requirements and processes
- Provide regular reporting and updates on renewal activity and performance
- Partner cross functionally with Customer Success, Sales Account Management, Technical Assistance Center, Accounting, Procurement, and Product Management
- Identify lifecycle related customer needs and refer qualified upsell opportunities to the assigned Account Manager
- Support End of Life (EOL) equipment initiatives by assisting with tracking and communication of manufacturer EOL schedules
- Evaluate existing renewal processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness
- Monitor industry trends and best practices to enhance workflows and customer experience
- Learn and understand core networking components within the SONIFI GIA solution and how they interoperate
- Obtain manufacturer specific certifications related to licensing, renewals, and sales as required
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries and concerns to ensure satisfaction and retention
- Support pre and post sales activities as needed and perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum of one year of experience in renewal sales, sales support, account management, or a customer facing role
- Experience supporting renewals, entitlements, or customer relationships in a technology driven environment preferred
- Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience
- Working knowledge of basic computer networking concepts such as LAN, WAN, Ethernet, and network design preferred
- Familiarity with Wi Fi standards and architectures is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with customers, internal teams, and vendors
- High attention to detail with strong organization and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
- Self motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools; experience with quoting or web based sales tools is a plus
