Build Seamless Mobile Experiences as a Software Engineer – Android

SONIFI Solutions, Inc. is seeking a passionate and skilled Mobile Software Engineer to join our development team. In this role, you’ll contribute to the full product lifecycle—from understanding functional requirements and designing solutions to coding, testing, and optimizing deployment tools. You’ll independently deliver well-defined, small to medium-sized tasks to production, demonstrating a solid technical foundation and a commitment to continuous growth. What you will do:

  • Provide analysis, design, programming, testing, and debugging for software applications with minimal assistance.
  • Offer input on the feasibility of new products as initial requirements are being developed.
  • Provide development estimates for new products being considered.
  • Add new features or fix bugs in both your own code and that of other engineers.
  • Ensure good software engineering practices and standards are followed during the software engineering process.
  • Develop engineering documentation for programmed applications.
  • Work with other software development staff, project management, and product management to facilitate product requirements.
  • Coordinate the use of advanced software techniques and technologies using strong Software Engineering methodologies.

 

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering and 2+ years of industry experience, or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • Experience with Android/mobile development required.
  • Strong knowledge of Software Engineering methodologies.
  • Full Stack development experience with:
    • AWS IaC (CDK), Lambdas, Step Functions (SNS, SQS)
    • Python
    • Javascript / Typescript
    • React
    • Django
    • Databases
  • Experience with REST preferred.
  • Experience with scripting languages preferred.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and deductive reasoning skills.


Together, we can build your future! SONIFI pays a competitive salary for this role based on a variety of factors including location, experience, education, specialty, and training. This position is also eligible for PTO, holidays, health, dental, vision, retirement plan, pet insurance, on-demand pay, and a variety of other benefits. 

Generally starting between $70,000 - $100,000 annually; the salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, location, experience, education, specialty, and training. This pay range is not a promise of a particular wage.
