Healthcare Technical Program Manager

Join our amazing team! SONIFI Health, Inc., a leader in technology solutions for the healthcare industry, is looking to add a Technical Program Manager to the team! This position can be home based or located at our corporate office in Sioux Falls, SD.

 

What you’ll do: As a Technical Program Manager, you will lead the end-to-end execution of complex, multi-phased programs—from initial concept through final delivery. You’ll be responsible for developing detailed work plans, schedules, resource allocations, project estimates, and budget forecasts, while ensuring timely and high-quality outcomes.

This role requires disciplined execution and seamless coordination across cross-functional teams and external vendors. You will serve as a key liaison between technical and business stakeholders, driving alignment and transparency through executive-level reporting and strategic communication.

You will be a strong advocate for our customers and a champion of operational excellence. Success in this role demands exceptional organizational skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Responsible for end-to-end Program Management across the healthcare portfolio of products ensuring high quality, on-time efficient execution aligned with business priorities.
  • Drive cross-functional development, partnering with product management from concept to delivery in an Agile software development environment.
  • Identify, track, and manage cross-team, cross-project, and system dependencies to ensure alignment and timely delivery and effective risk mitigation.
  • Oversee cross functional team in finalizing release plans and ensuring effective handoffs of releases from engineering to operations for installation and support.
  • Lead lifecycle management planning and execution for both individual hardware and software components as well as commercial products with large customer installed bases.
  • Provide support and oversight of operational issues, including troubleshooting and managing escalations to resolution.
  • Act as a liaison between internal teams and external vendors to address and resolve vendor-related issues and escalations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support and enhance operational processes, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop metrics to measure and monitor program performance and report on these metrics and any proposals or investment requests to senior management

 

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred), 7+ years of experience in technical program or project management and 3+ years of hands-on experience managing Agile software development teams, or the equivalent education and/or experience.
  • Proven experience facilitating cross functional teams that are geographically distributed and span multiple time zones remotely.
  • Experience with product development of commercial solutions in the healthcare industry is required.  Healthcare IT and/or Medical Device solutions for acute care hospitals is preferred. 
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records Systems (EMRs) and other clinical data integration is desired to support system implementations, integrations, and ongoing enhancements.
  • PMP, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or other relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Preferred experience working in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
  • Preferred experience working with on-premises hardware and software deployments, ensuring alignment with DevOps practices and release pipelines

This position is also eligible for PTO, holidays, health, dental, vision, retirement plan, pet insurance, on-demand pay, and a variety of other benefits. 

 

Generally starting between $110,000 - $150,000 annually; the salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, location, experience, education, specialty, and training. This pay range is not a promise of a particular wage.
