About the Role

We’re hiring a Director of Engineering to lead our growing engineering organization and help shape the future of our core product. In this role, you’ll oversee the development of scalable, high-quality technology solutions that directly support our hospitality customers and their guests. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our product continues to evolve with usability, security, and long-term maintainability in mind. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys building strong teams, improving engineering practices, and delivering impactful software.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of engineers and technical leads.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Drive hiring, onboarding, and career development initiatives.

Engineering Strategy & Execution

• Define and execute engineering strategy aligned with company goals.
• Oversee the delivery of high-quality, scalable software solutions.
• Ensure adherence to best practices in architecture, security, and performance.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with Product, QA, DevOps, and other departments to deliver cohesive solutions.
• Translate business needs into technical plans and roadmaps.
• Communicate progress, risks, and opportunities to executive leadership.

Process & Quality Improvement

• Champion agile methodologies and iterative development practices.
• Refine development workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
• Promote engineering excellence through code reviews, documentation, and metrics.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven success in leading engineering teams through growth and transformation.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, cloud infrastructure, and modern development practices.
• Experience with technologies such as Python, AWS, Docker, React, PostgreSQL, and RabbitMQ.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality and lodging industry.
• Familiarity with both legacy systems and modern cloud-native architectures.
• Background in organizational change and scaling engineering teams.
• Experience integrating with external hardware components or embedded systems.
